DREAMWORLD CROCODILE ENCLOSURE
The brief was to develop an exhibit enclosure for the crocodiles of the Dreamworld precinct. The design incorporated an understanding of the animal’s physical and social behavior, the ways it occupies and moves through its territory. The functional requirements for feeding, cleaning, and the structure of the viewer’s encounter with the animals is addressed. The design takes visitors on a journey, connecting from elevated walkways down to an underwater viewing area. Additionally, designs were developed using the wire sculptures that were created as precedence.
